Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience?

Nope! These classes are designed with beginners in mind, with the option of self-guidance. Thorough instruction will guide you step-by-step through the entire process.

Are supplies included?

Yes! Your class materials, specimen, pins, basic tools, and take-home display materials are included unless a class listing says otherwise.

Where do the insects come from?

The insects are ethically sourced from insect farms across the world. These farms breed insects for preservation efforts, scientific education, and general hobbyist demands. They ship as dried specimens and are rehydrated in preparation for each class.

Do you offer private sessions?

Absolutely! Private workshops are perfect for birthdays, friend groups, date nights, clubs, and creative team events. Framed specimens will be available on an occasional basis as supplies allow.

Is this class appropriate for kids?

This class requires fine hand motor skills and the ability to follow directions. Visual and verbal instructions will be provided and an instructor will be available to assist. There is no age limit, however these variables should be kept in mind when signing up for a class.
